Description

Silver-gilt; the sloping cylindrical sides engraved with a pattern of stylised plants and the crest of a lion.

Silver-gilt; the sloping cylindrical silver sides are slightly everted at the top and have a moulded rim mount. The sides are engraved with a pattern of three stylised stems each with six leaves on a matted ground. In the front is engraved the number 'XVI' above a crest of a lion and the date '1682' within a motto.

Note

Johannes (Hans) Mautner, was also know as Johannes (Hans) Starckmann senior. He was recorded from 1670 to his death in 1694.

Kronstädt (Brassó in Hungarian) was in Hungary, but is now in Romania and known as Brasov.
