Description

Silver; embossed with shells and the mask of a bearded man, and standing on three scroll legs with shell feet

Silver; of circular section with an elongated neck embossed with two shells above a moulded girdle. The lower part of the body is almost hemispherical and has a band of applied ornament. It stands on three scroll legs with shell feet and capitals. The spout has a hinged cover, and at its base is a mask of a bearded man. The domed cover is embossed with two shells and a band of scrolling foliage round the cast bud finial. The harp-shaped handle is capped with an acanthus leaf above a border of husks.
