Fruit wood and silver; wood bowl with silver handle and flat shield-shaped finial initialled 'A.M.'
Fruit wood and silver; the wood bowl is fig-shaped on a tapering stem which has been incised with two pairs of chevrons on the front. The silver handle is five-sided and broadens towards the flat shield-shaped terminal. The front and sides of the handle have been engraved with a pattern of lines, and the terminal is initialled 'A.M'.

Carving
: The wood bowl and tapering stem were carved. The seam down the back of the silver handle was soldered and the finial soldered to the terminal. The hollow silver handle was glued to the short wood stem. The decoration on the silver handle and the initals on the finial were engraved.
