Mother-of-pearl and gilt metal; mother-of-pearl bowl and handle with gilt metal mount and finial with cherub's masks
Mother-of-pearl and gilt metal; the shallow oval mother-of-pearl bowl and narrow hexagonal handle have a gilt metal mount and finial. The front of the mount is decorated with two winged cherub's masks. The heal at the back of the bowl rests on an inverted shield engraved with a coat-of-arms. The finial is a double-sided shield of openwork scrolls centered on the mask of a cherub.
