Valentine card
Printmaker: Unknown
An amateur valentine collage arranged on a card of white wove paper which consists of a lithograph of a couple walking in a garden framed by roses and showered by petals from a cupid figure hovering above. This has been cut into an urn-type shape from a larger lithograph and the printed detail has been cropped at the upper and lower edge. A cutting of a printed verse is affixed below: "Will love awake a tender sigh, / When this my letter meets your eye; / And will thy bosom fondly move, / Responsive to my feelings, Love?" The inside pages are blank.
