Bluish-green mould-blown glass. The glass is of flattened oval form with gadrooning round the base, and on the sides, the inscription AVE MARIA between horizontal bands of ribbing

History note: Howard Phillips, London, from whom purchased in November 1981 by Sir Ivor Batchelor; Sir Ivor and Lady Batchelor, St Andrew's, Fife; Sir Ivor died 24 April 2005; on loan since 2006 (Syndicate of 20 January)
