Description

A very rare pair of Torah finials, chased and engraved, hung with bells and surmounted by a crown. Kelzings, as his name implies, was one of the large German population in Bauska (in German, Bauske) in the eighteenth century, which would account for the German appearance and form of these rimmonim. In addition to Germans, Bauska also had a large Jewish population which by the nineteenth century had grown to be 50% of the population.
