Publisher: Windsor & Sons
Lace-paper front page of valentine card, cut unevenly from its backing. Two cut-outs on white embossed paper of a seated woman and a man to either side of a central rice-paper panel (torn at lower centre), both wearing 16th-century dress and the woman playing a lute. Garlands of lithographed and hand-coloured scraps of flowers and foliage arranged underneath the figures. A collage of dried flowers and grasses and fabric flowers and foliage on embossed paper at the centre of the panel. A motto at upper centre: 'Affections; offering'. Putti or Cupids crafted from lace-paper and mounted on paper springs at upper left and right corners. WINDSOR blind-embossed onto the lace-paper at lower right.
