Valentine card
Publisher: Unknown
Lace-paper with scalloped edges, tipped with purple. A lithographed cut-out on embossed paper at the centre of flowers and an exotic beach-scene at sunset. A cut-paper motto: 'Valentine's Day' is affixed to the lace-paper at lower centre. The lace-paper is mounted onto a larger square of wove paper which is adhered to the album leaf. The lower right corner of the paper has been torn off. There are inscriptions on the paper: A cross in graphite above the lace-paper at upper centre and a hand-written inscription in black ink below at lower centre: 'Feby Pussy Blackett'. On the verso of the wove paper is another hand-written inscription which appears to be in the same hand: 'A.M.L. Jany.(1868)'. See also P.14343-R-98.
