Valentine card
Publisher: Unknown
A card with scalloped edges and an embossed border with pale blue tinting. A motto is lithographed onto the card in large, pale blue script above and below the central image: "A Token / Of Affection". At the centre is a lithographed cut-out of a young girl playing with a hoop and stick and a collage of cut-paper foliage and a paper scrap with gold tinsel lyre, which is oddly positioned on its side. Inside the card is a very long hand-written verse in black ink which relates the story of the meeting of the author with a person apparently named Kate and the subsequent jealousies of a woman known as 'Connie'. See also P.14343-R-148 and 149.
