Description

Lace-paper with a central panel of cut-paper and hand-coloured leaves and flowers (forget-me-nots) with additional hand-painted leaves and buds. A hand-written message in red ink below: "An Affectionate Request". The inside of the card is blank. DOBBS & CO. blind-embossed at lower left. A Whatman watermark visible on the interior leaf gives a date of 1865.
