Valentine card
Publisher: Unknown
Lace-paper with a central, oval-shaped panel with an interior hand-painted scalloped border in red. A collage of silver and gilt embossed cut-paper in a star design with a silver cut-paper Cupid on a white cloud at the centre. Hand-written inscriptions within: "Love like a star / shines fiar and bright / when beaming from / those eyes of light". A partial embossed stamp at lower left (mainly visible from the verso) would seem to indicate the maker as Joseph Mansell. The inside of the card is blank.
