Valentine card

4to-size white lace paper with hand-painted flower bouquet on central oval rice-paper panel with applied textile leaves. Hand-written inscriptions in black ink written underneath the leaves to form a verse/message. Watermark: WHATMAN / 1845. The card has been folded. Hand-written inscription in graphite on the album leaf: "Watman [sic] watermark 1845 / 15 /=" [15 shillings]
