Valentine card

Card of embossed paper of 'lace' design with inner frame of white cameo-embossed lace-paper mounted on paper springs. The lace-paper frame incorporates classical motifs and cupids and a couple in 18th-century dress to left and right. Two slips of pale blue paper are inserted behind the lace-paper at upper and lower centre and a blind of gauze at the centre. A collage of chromolithographed embossed flowers and gilt cut-paper leaves at the centre with a printed scrap and motto below: "Constant for ever.". The inside pages are blank. Watermark: B&H / KENT. MEEK stamped on the front sheet at lower centre (viewed from the verso).
