Valentine card
Publisher: Mossman, David (paper manufacturer and embosser)
Embossed lace-paper with raised elements; a 'frame' of blue and silver embossed lace-paper is mounted on paper springs at upper left and right and an embossed chromolithographed scrap with the motto: "I live for thee" affixed to this frame at upper centre. A second piece of yellow and silver embossed paper of a design featuring cupids and an urn of flowers is mounted on paper springs at lower centre and has a roundel at the centre bordered by green feathers and with a rice-paper blind mounted with embossed chromolithographed scraps of a heart with Cupid and dog. Other collage elements of real moss and fabric flower and leaves are affixed below. An embossed chromolithographed scrap of a bouquet of flowers mounted on a paper spring is affixed at upper centre. MOSSMAN stamped at lower centre (viewed from verso). The inside pages are blank.
