Valentine card
Publisher: Unknown
Embossed lace-paper with 'frame' of silver lace-paper in a design of three archways with tasselled curtains, swags and decorative scrolls mounted on paper springs. A central circular panel of white lace-paper mounted on green paper featuring a design of a woman playing a harp. A collage of green cut-paper foliage and chromolithographed scraps (flowers and butterfly) are affixed to the frame. A lack of symmetry suggests that there have been losses of collage elements at lower left, lower centre right and upper centre right. The inside pages are blank.
