Description

White coated paper with embossed scalloped edges and silvered decorative borders. Inner border of pleated gauze with gilt thread surrounding a central window mounted with a collage of a dried leaf and fabric flowers of forget-me-not and white/pink flower with silk stamens. Corners mounted with miniature gauze chinese fans and flower scraps. A silver embossed scrap at lower centre with motto: FONDLY THINE OWN. The inside pages are blank. Hand-written inscription in graphite on the album leaf: '2/6' [2 shillings sixpence] Presumably relates to an inscription found on the verso of the card.
