Valentine card
Publisher: Unknown
A 'raised' valentine composed of three layers. The top layer of die-cut perforated and silvered paper is mounted with a collage of fabric leaves and flowers with blue feathers around a central oval window with a blind of pink corrugated gauze mounted with a chromolithographed scrap of a forget-me-not bouquet. A flower scrap with the motto: 'Constancy', affixed at upper centre. The top layer is mounted with paper springs to a second layer of white and blue cameo-embossed paper which is mounted with paper springs to a buff-coloured third layer of plain embossed paper. The inside pages are blank. Hand-written inscription in graphite on the album leaf: '3 /='. Presumably relates to an inscription found on the verso of the card.
