Valentine card

A 'raised' valentine with two layers of silvered lace-paper. The top layer with central window designed as a classical archway with tasselled curtain and mounted with flower scraps at upper left and right and bird at upper centre and at lower centre with motto: 'Yours for ever'. Mounted on paper springs to a second layer which is mounted at the centre with a die-cut, glazed chromolithograph of three violet 'flower fairies' hiding among the leaves of a clump of violets. A hand-written inscription in black ink on the inside right-hand page: 'From Daisy / Hoping to see you soon'.
