Valentine card
Publisher: Unknown
Small 48mo valentine of white laid paper (cut from a larger piece), a smaller 'raised' frame of gilt lace-paper with circular window mounted on paper springs with gilt-edged scroll at lower centre, printed with the motto: 'GRANT ME / THY LOVE'. The frame is decorated with a scrap of a dove with a letter in its beak and a large embossed scrap of pink roses is mounted on a paper spring in the window at the centre. The same style and gilt lace-paper as P.14413-R-76 (no. 76. in the same album). A hand-written inscription on the verso is visible (but illegible) through the inside right-hand page.
