Valentine card
Publisher: Windsor & Sons
A large, 4to-size valentine. A large silver lace-paper 'frame' has been pasted to a large sheet of white embossed paper along the left edge. The embossed paper has been cut unevenly, probably from a larger piece and this valentine seems to have been homemade using re-cycled elements . At the centre of the white embossed paper is a piece of cream embossed 'grotto' design paper with lace centre and pink slip paper behind decorated with a collage of cut-paper green and gold leaves with hand-coloured red and yellow flowers. A lozenge at lower centre is printed in gold ink with the message: 'I love / thee for thy own / dear sake'. The embossed paper is stamped: 'WINDSOR' at lower centre. There is no back paper.
