Valentine card

A small 48mo-size valentine designed for a child. White wove paper with a blue printed edge, a smaller layer of embossed paper with shaped edges, tinted blue and central circular window mounted on paper springs. A chromolithgraph of a boy and girl on a country path viewed through the window. The boy wears a blue jacket and waves a straw boater and the girl wears a pink dress. The embossed paper decorated with a small flower scrap at lower centre and a printed motto: 'TO ONE / I LOVE'. A hand-written inscription in black ink on the inside right-hand page: 'Accept this little trifle, / and let it ever be / […] to the thought, / that one will think of / thee'.
