Be Mine Valentine card

Cameo-embossed white card crimped edges and light blue lithographed ground mounted with a top layer of gilt lace-paper affixed with paper springs and with a central oval panel of white silk printed with the verse: 'BE MINE. / Wilt thou be mine love, / mine evermore? / Darling! I'll cherish thee / love and adore ...'. A large scrap of a pink rose with forget-me-nots is affixed over the central oval panel (lifts up to reveal the verse) and other flower scraps are arranged at upper and lower centre to form a circular garland which is mounted on paper springs. The back paper has been removed along the left edge.
