Valentine card

White wove paper with an embossed border at upper centre containing a window cut into the paper which is backed with rice-paper and mounted with a silver paper ornament of a dove bearing a letter surrounded by hand-drawn radiating lines in blue ink. The window has a hand-drawn border around the outside in blue ink. At the centre of the paper below is a hand-drawn, heart-shaped garland with red ink stems and stencilled leaves in green paint and applied felt flowers with hand-drawn details and yellow gouache centres. The paper has a hand-drawn outer border in blue ink of stems and tendrils. The interior is blank. The hand-drawn elements and rice-paper panel with dove ornament are also seen on a similar card which is mounted beside this one on the same album leaf. See P.14414-R-63.
