Valentine card
Publisher: Meek, George
A white, cameo-embossed paper valentine with a scene including a reclining female figure among ferns and flowers at lower centre with angels with garlands on clouds above. A panel at upper centre contains a hand-painted spray of flowers with applied cut-paper and hand-coloured and varnished flowers, a hand-painted bird with hand-painted motto above: 'THINK OF ME'. A white satin bow is affixed below. A window at lower centre contains a hand-painted stem of ?bluebells (on the right-hand inside page). This card appears to be an unfinished, homemade card using a card blank embossed by George Meek. Three creases on the verso suggest that it has been folded.
