Description

A small, 48mo-size valentine of white lace-paper (now stained and dirty with losses at the left side) has a central oval panel mounted with a pair of cut-paper, hand-coloured beehives, a collage of cut-paper coloured flowers and leaves below. At lower centre is a white paper scroll with lithographed instructions in gold: 'HOW TO BUILD A HAPPY HOME / Let Integrity be the Architect, Tidiness the Upholsterer / Let it be warmed by Affection ... HOME WILL BE HAPPY'. The front paper is adhered to the back paper.
