Description

A small sachet valentine of lace-paper with shaped edges. A central chromolithographed scrap of crossed quivers, arrows and bows adorned with a garland of pink roses and tied with white ribbon with a pair of white doves above lifts up to reveal a printed verse within a circular window: 'To my Mother. / To thee my early childhood's / guide / How much I owe no words can tell, ...'. A wad of beige tissue paper can be seen through the lace-paper. Very similar in style to another sachet valentine P.14417-R-43, which is mounted on the same album leaf.
