Description

A single white card with a gilt embossed design and greek-style geometric border. An applied centrepiece of gilt embossed design on white paper with a hand-cut circular window containing a letterpress verse on cream wove paper: 'Never truer heart / than mine / Ever sent a Valen- / tine'. The straight edge at the left side suggests that the centrepiece has been taken from elsewhere and applied here. A flower scrap of pink roses and purple is applied over the central window and pasted only at the bottom, so that when lifted, it reveals the printed verse.
