Valentine card
Publisher: Unknown
A silver and white embossed lace-paper frame with shaped edges contains a panel of rice-paper (damaged). The rice-paper is printed with words in gothic script in black ink, some of which are obscured by a large, die-cut embossed chromolithograph of a flower bouquet which is affixed at the centre: '[missing word] YOU / Dearest, [missing words] Flowers / [missing words] to thee.'. It seems quite likely that the flower bouquet originally lifted up to reveal the printed message, but has since been stuck down. The panel is not attached to back paper and is pasted directly onto the album leaf.
