Description

A single sheet of white lace-paper which has been trimmed along the left edge. A collage is mounted on the central panel comprising cut-paper green and beige leaves, pink fabric flowers and a cut-paper hand-coloured violet arranged in a circle around a central hand-coloured lithograph of a bowl of flowers. A small, lithographed 'book' printed with a verse in blue ink with red border is affixed at lower centre: 'Dearest my every / dream of bliss / Begins and ends / alone in thee, / I ask no more of Heaven than this, / Thro' every change / thine own to be.'. The interior of the 'book' is blank, but would usually have contained a personal, hand-written message to the recipient.
