Valentine card
Publisher: Dobbs, Henry
A single rectangular panel of white wove paper with lace-paper corners and border. The panel has been trimmed around the edges and is mounted with a collage of cut-paper, hand-coloured flowers and leaves and fruit, arranged in an upward curving arch. A cut-paper, hand-coloured jug contains more hand-cut and hand-coloured flowers and leaves. A verse is hand-written in blue ink at upper centre in two lines of a downward curving arch: 'Thy service shall my only pleasure be / And all my heart's desire in pleasing thee!'. 'DOBBS' is stamped (faintly) at lower centre.
