Love Valentine card
Publisher: Unknown
A gilt and white lace-paper front with embossed flowers and 'grotto' design, mounted with flower scraps at upper left, upper right and lower centre. An oval scrap of a young girl in pink carrying pink roses and a corn sheaf is mounted at the centre and below, a panel of white silk is printed in black ink with a verse: 'LOVE. / The fragrant bower, / the parting hour / Are pleasing thoughts / to me; / There love unconquer- / ed, sways its power, / A ceaseless love for / thee.'. Remnants of blue paper on the verso suggest that it was previously mounted.
