Description

A valentine of pink wove paper mounted with a sheet of shaped, embossed white, cut-paper with a central oval window with a net blind mounted with a silver, embossed cupid ornament and framed with pieces of cut-paper, hand-coloured coral. A hand-written motto in blue ink at lower centre: 'I off [sic] Thee my faithful Love'. The interior is blank. The valentine appears to have been put together by hand by an amateur. A price is inscribed in graphite on the verso: '2/6 [2 shillings and sixpence]'.
