Valentine card
Publisher: Meek, George
White embossed paper overlaid on paper springs with a 'frame' of gilt, embossed lace-paper with a design of urns, shells and lattice-work panels. A chromolithograph of carnations and scrap of flowers with printed motto: 'To / my dear little friend'. At the centre of the 'frame' is a collage of real moss and a chromolithographed, embossed scrap of a young boy in red with a hoop and a dog. The back paper is missing. Remnants of blue paper adhered to the verso indicate that the valentine was previously mounted. MEEK stamped at lower centre (seen from verso).
