Description

Soft-paste porcelain tea cup and saucer, decorated onglaze with flowers, fruits and insects in polychrome enamels and gilt.

Soft-paste porcelain tea cup and saucer, decorated onglaze in green ground colour, yellow, green, purple, pink and brown enamels and gilt. The tea cup is circular with rounded sides standing on a footring, with intertwined double twig handle with leaf terminals. The saucer is circular with shallow rounded sides and a low footring. The apple-green ground of the tea cup is edged with gilt rococo scrollwork, the sides painted with a large and a smaller cluster of spotted peaches, cherries, grapes and rosehips, flanked by two insects and two leaf sprigs. The saucer is decorated en suite.
