Tin-glazed earthenware painted in blue
Buff earthenware tin-glazed and painted in blue. Constructed in the form of two hollow books with an opening at the top of one of them. There are two interconnecting holes between the two books and a small hole in the upper corner of one outer cover. The outer covers are decorated with a lozenge enclosing two fleur-de-lys on either side of three vertical lines. In the corners outside the lozenges there are stylized leaves. IONE ELEXANDRE HER/BOOKE’ is painted on one fore-edge and one end.
