The underside of the base is slightly concave. The sides are decorated with six oval panels enclosed by wreaths with masks and foliage between them. Each panel has at the top either a heraldic rose or a putto's head and drapery, with below a figure of an Apostle holding his emblem with scattered gold stars in the back gound.
