White salt-glazed stoneware decorated with a green ground and two reserves painted in enamels respectively with a vase of flowers and a basket of flowers in Oriental style
White stoneware, moulded, salt-glazed, and painted in blue, green, yellow, dull red, and dark puce enamels. The hexagonal pot has bowed side and a curved spout moulded in relief with overlapping veined leaves. The loop handle is reeded and has a kick at its lower end. The wall behind the spout is pierced by six holes to emit the tea. The hexagonal, slightly convex cover is moulded to match. It has a central ventilation hole (blocked by glaze), and a handle formed by a twisted stem. The pot is decorated with a green ground except for the base. On each side there is a roughly oval reserve with a dark puce border, enclosing on one side a vase of flowers, and on the other, a basket of flowers in Oriental style. On the cover there are two small shaped oblong reserves with puce borders, one enclosing a yellow flower and two leaves, and the other a pink flower and two leaves.
