Description

Tin-glazed earthenware painted in blue, olive green, yellow and manganese purple, with pewter hinge and thumb-rest attached to the top of the handle and cover. On the front there is an oval medallion, depicting the race between Atalana and Hippomenes enclosed by scroll work, and on the rest of the body, detached sprays of flowers. There is a mask in low relief at the lip.
