Hard-paste porcelain painted in underglaze blue, decorated with asters in petal shaped panels at the border, enclosing five similar flower heads amongst a dense whorled pattern at the centre. There are peculiar scroll designs on the back in a very stylised manner. There is an encircled leaf mark on the base.
