Valentine card
Publisher: Addenbrooke, Joseph
A 4to-size valentine of white wove paper with outer lace-paper border with integral embossed flowers and brackets hand-coloured in gold paint. An inner border of lithographed and stencilled leaves and tendrils with applied cut-paper and handcoloured passion flowers and convolvulus. A central border of lace-paper with additional hand-colouring in gold and red paint, which surrounds a panel of white silk with applied cut-paper, hand-coloured pink rose and stencilled leaves, tendrils and flowers. 'ADDENBROOKE' stamped at lower left of the central panel. The interior is blank. Multiple creases indicate that the valentine has been folded, presumably for delivery.
